How it works for roofers
Roofing has the deepest set of trade features in Trade Assured. Each roofing service has its own guided inspection checklist, so nobody forgets the roof space on a terracotta job, the sample result on an asbestos-cement roof, or corrosion on metal. Counted and measured steps are linked to your price list, so the job is priced as the checklist is answered.
On Elite, the roof is measured for you: from an aerial view, from a desk measurement, or read from the plan set's PDF. The take-off gives a cut list with every sheet cut to length, battens, screws, sarking and flashings, with allowances for offcuts and waste.
Your quote becomes a written contract the owner signs online, with the Home Building Contracts Act's notice, deposit limit and stages handled for work the Act covers. Safe work method statements for roof work, asbestos removal records and roofing warranties sit on the job.

What it costs roofers
Your main trade is included on every plan. Start on Starter at $59 a month before GST and move up as the business grows.
Add up to two more trades for one flat $49 a month before GST (three trades in all). More than three needs the Builder plan, which includes every trade.
The AI receptionist comes with Complete, Elite and Builder: 200 minutes a month on Complete, then 50c a minute; 400 minutes a month on Elite and Builder, then 45c a minute, before GST.

Builders' jobs, sent to you Coming soon
Builders on the Builder plan will upload a plan set, get a take-off of every trade's section, and send each section to the businesses in that trade whose area covers the site. You bid on the work near you.
- Any business on a paid plan can receive builders' bid requests, from Starter up.
- Each business sets a travel radius from its base; a job goes to the businesses in the right trade whose radius covers the site.
- Bids are sealed: only the builder sees every bid, and each business sees only its own and whether it won.
- Leads and bid requests are separate switches: receive either, both or neither.
- Builders can block a business, which then never receives that builder's jobs.
The job board is built straight after launch. It is not available yet.
Questions from roofers
Does Trade Assured handle asbestos roof replacements?
Yes. Asbestos roof replacement is one of the guided roofing services. Each job keeps a record of the asbestos removed (area, whether friable, who removed it and their licence, the WorkSafe notification), the clearance and the disposal docket, and says beside each record what the rules ask. Asbestos records are on every plan.
Can it measure a roof from plans or from above?
On Elite and Builder. Upload the plan set's PDF and the roof plan's scale, pitch, outline, ridges, hips and valleys are read from its lines for your estimator to check and confirm. Aerial and desk measurements go to the same take-off and cut list.
Do I get roof inspection reports?
Yes. The Roofer trade includes the roof tiling, roof plumbing, gutters and fascias, and restoration sections of the trade inspection report. The roof framing section belongs to the Roof carpenter trade, which you can add.
Does RIAWA membership change the price?
No. Every business pays the same price for its plan. RIAWA recommends Trade Assured to its members; membership is RIAWA's own ($499 a year), and members can give their member number in the app.
Other trades
